Yuxiang Hong is an Associate Professor in the School of Management at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He has earned Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Jinan University, Guangzhou, China (2014). His previous experience includes working as a visiting scholar in Utrecht School of Governance at Utrecht University in the Netherland (2012-2013), and Centre for Security, Communications and Network Research at Plymouth University in the UK (2018-2019).


His research focuses on the interdisciplinary studies combining environment, human capital, emergencing technology, and risk. Research areas include: human aspect of information security, emergency preparedness, risk communication, environmental psychology, and innovation system. His work is published in the journals such as Behaviour & Information Technology, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Information Security and Applications, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of Environmental Psychology, Chinese Journal of Communication, Social Indicators Research, and others. His work has been funded by National Social Science Fund of China.


Dr. Hong is the IPC member of IFIP International Symposium on Human Aspects of Information Security & Assurance (HAISA) and INSTICC International Conference on Information Systems Security and Privacy (ICISSP). He serves as an Associate Editor for Journal of Computer Information Systems (SCI, ABDC-A, ABS/CCF/FMS list), Journal of Medical Internet Research (SCI), and guest editor for Journal of Information Security and Applications.
