Dr. Jinhua Sheng received his Ph. D degree in nuclear electronics from University of Science and Technology of China in 1997. From April 12th, 2005 to December 31th, 2008, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Wisconsin, United States. Currently, he is a Distinguished Professor of College of Computer Science and Technology at Hangzhou Dianzi University, a Deputy Director of Institute of 《Cognitive and Intelligent Computing》at Hangzhou Dianzi University, and the Director of Key Laboratory of 《Intelligent Image Analysis for Sensory and Cognitive Health》, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, Hangzhou, China. He previously served as an Associate Professor and an Associate Dean of Graduate School at China Academy of Telecommunications Technology, Beijing, China.
Dr. Sheng had 16 years of experience at prominent institutions of the United States, including University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, and Indiana University et al. As a researcher and expert in image processing, medical imaging science and neuroscience, he has contributed a lot in his area of specialization with over 90 research papers in some top journals and international conferences, such as 《Science: Translational Medicine》,《IEEE Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics》, 《IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science》, 《IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging》,《Scientific Reports》, 《Heliyon》,《Magnetic Resonance in Medicine》, 《Neuroimaging》, 《Behavioural Brain Research》, etc, and been granted one US patent, and seven Chinese patents. He has been presiding over two National Natural Science Foundation of China and other grants with ¥2,530,000 since 2018. His research works have been reported in some professional media, such as 《Science Daily》, 《First Science》, et al. He is an active reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals and some top international conferences. He served as the chief editor for one journal in China, and serves as an Associate Editor for《IEEE Access》 and an Editorial Board Member for《Scientific Reports》. He is a IET Fellow and a senior member of the IEEE.
