Personal profile

Lin Huang is a full professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Science at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He received his Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from Fudan University in 2015. Subsequently, he held postdoctoral positions in the Department of Physics at Fudan University and the Department of Mathematics at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2015–2018). He joined Hangzhou Dianzi University in December 2018 and was selected in 2022 for the second cohort of the Zhejiang Provincial “Young Outstanding Talents” program for leading academics in higher education. He has published more than twenty papers in journals such as SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Journal of Differential Equations, and Journal of Integrable Systems, and authored one research monograph with Science Press. He has participated in several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), completed one NSFC Young Investigator grant and a First-Class China Postdoctoral Science Foundation grant as principal investigator, and currently leads an NSFC General Program.

Research interests. Asymptotic analysis in mathematical physics (e.g., long-time asymptotics for initial/boundary value problems and connections to random matrix theory); exact solution methods for integrable systems (including inverse scattering and Riemann–Hilbert techniques, et al.).
