Research Field

Jingjie Cuireceived her Ph.D. in applied chemistry from South China University of Technology in 2009. She was a post-doctoral fellow of the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, Center of Bio & Micro/nano Functional Materials at the Shandong University. She is an associate professor of the College of Life Information Science & Instrument Engineering, Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2012. At present, she is collaborating with Prof. Zhen Huang on the RNA-microchip based disease and pathogen detection in Chemistry Department, Georgia State University. Her research interests are related to synthesis of nanomaterials, the application of nanomaterials in electrochemical biosensors for miRNA, anticancerdrugs and cancer cells. Not only the functional TiO2 nanomaterials exhibit higher sensitivity, but the surface-modifiled anatase TiO2 nanobelts exhibite selective determination of the perfect match and mismatch of single nucleobases (Jingjie Cuiet al. 2011). Her cooperator and she report a strategy for sequencing based on rolling-circle amplification on a microarray (Li Gao, Jingjie Cuiet al. 2012). This provided a strategy for high-throughput, which may facilitate the next generation of DNA sequencing. Recently, the electrochemical behaviors of anticancerdrugs, cancer cells and effect of anticancerdrugs on cancer cells were explored by using the TiO2 nanomaterialsas the biological nano-sensing materials (Jingjie Cuiet al. 2013-2015). It might open a door for developing a novel application area of TiO2 nanomaterial for biosensing applications of anticancer drugs and tumor cells, which will be of significance in diagnostic medicine, cancer diagnosis and molecular biology research.
