Danfeng Sun received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Magdeburg, Germany. He is currently an Associate Professor at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Hangzhou, China. He worked as a guest researcher at the Institut für Automation und Kommunikation, Magdeburg, Germany (2018-2022); and worked as a project manager at Tederic Machinery Co., Ltd. (2014-2018).
Since 2019, he has published 50 refereed journal and conference papers, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, and ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks. His research interests include industrial wireless communication systems, machine learning, and the Industrial Internet of Things. He was a Session Chair of the IFAC Symposium on Telematics Applications 2019 and 2022, and ICUFN 2022.He was a reviewer of 21 journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Communication Letters, IEEE System Journal, IEEE Sensors Journal, Knowledge-based systems, Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, and Journal of Supercomputing.
