Wenhui Zhou

He received a Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Zhejiang University (ZJU) in 2005, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering (ISEE) at ZJU from July 2005 to October 2007. During his doctoral studies and postdoctoral research, he followed Prof. Weikang Gu and Prof. Jilin Liu to conduct research on autonomous driving and visual navigation systems. He joined the School of Computer Science and Technology at Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU) as an Assistant Professor in 2007, and was promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in 2008 and 2021, respectively. From April 2015 to April 2016, he was a visiting scholar at Indiana University Bloomington, working with Prof. Andrew Lumsdaine to conduct research in the field of light field imaging and processing. His research interests lie in the general areas of computer vision, computational photography, brain-computer interface, machine learning, etc. His current work focuses on deep learning for image/video understanding and visual brain-computer interface. He is a senior member of IEEE.

  • Simulation driving system based on immersive cylindrical screen projection

It uses a real "Zhidou D2S" electric vehicle as the base platform, on which all subsystems (including the accelerator pedal, brake pedal, steering wheel, gear shifting mechanism, etc.) are retained except the power subsystem. Moreover, we also install several relevant sensors and their embedded systems to obtain the operation and control signals during simulated driving. In addition, an 180° cylindrical screen projection system had been designed for immersive experience.

 

 


  • Omniview Photography System

It can accurately control the angle and position of the rotating platform and camera bracket through a computer, and provide synchronous control between the light source and the camera.

 


  • 7D Panoramic Dynamic Light Field Acquisition System

It is a large visual dome with a diameter of 10 meters and a height of 7 meters, which equipped up to 60 cameras and 2000 LED lights.
