主要科研方向为植物信息传感与智能决策。多年来从事计算机视觉、光谱检测、嵌入式系统等方面研究工作，主要应用场景包括茶芽自动识别、茶树氮素监测、土壤肥力在线传感、生鲜肉品质检测等；设计并研发多款便携式光学传感检测设备，包括植物表型在线检测系统、生鲜猪肉新鲜度光学检测设备、激光式猪胴体背膘厚测量仪等。
