Haibin Zhao is a Research Professor at the School of Electronics and Information Engineering. He received his bachelor’s degree from Chongqing University in 2017, followed by a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and a doctoral degree in Computer Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, in 2020 and 2024, respectively. He earned his doctorate with the highest distinction (summa cum laude). After graduation, he joined Trip.com Group, where he led the development of AI agents for diagnosing complex problems. He subsequently joined Hangzhou Dianzi University and is now a member of the 3D Heterogeneous Integration and Microsystems Research Group, led by Prof. Wensheng Zhao.
His research focuses on electronic design automation (EDA) technologies for neuromorphic computing systems based on flexible and printed electronics, particularly AI-driven EDA algorithms. Over the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers in leading EDA conferences and journals, including DAC, ICCAD, DATE, and IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (IEEE TCAD).
